Call for SNAP Comments on 2013-2018 SAA Strategic Plan

SAA’s Draft Strategic Plan is now live on SAA’s web site at:

The SNAP Steering Committee will be submitting official roundtable comments on SAA’s Strategic Plan Draft next week, and we want to hear from SNAPpers!  This plan will guide SAA’s activities in the coming years, so it’s important for SNAP to participate in this process. Does the draft plan reflect what you see as SAA’s highest priorities? Do you have other ideas for goals and strategies to meet future needs? This is a great opportunity to contribute our opinions.

To get SNAP feedback, we’ve created an open Google Doc with the highest elements of the plan, available here.

We encourage you to read the strategic plan draft, and consider which parts have the potential to benefit you as a student or new archives professional, as well as which parts can be improved. You can contribute to SNAP’s official comments on the draft through our Google Doc, submit comments as an individual via one of the choices listed below, or both.

Options for individual comment submission

The Official SNAP Strategic Plan Comments Google Doc will be available until the end of the week, and will close Friday, April 19th on midnight (EST). Over the weekend, the Steering Committee will use the comments submitted by SNAPpers to construct our official SNAP comments to be turned in to Council next week. We’re looking forward from hearing from you!
